TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2007-7 TO AMEND SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XI OF SECTION 15-8.3(b) ESTABLISHING NO TURNS; SCHEDULE XX OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(7) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–24 HOURS; SCHEDULE XXI OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(8) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–SPECIFIED TIMES; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXIV OF SECTION 15-15.1(d) ESTABLISHING CURB LOADING ZONES; SCHEDULE XXV OF SECTION 15-15.3(d) ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL BUS STOPS; SCHEDULE XXVI OF SECTION 15-16.1 ESTABLISHING TIME LIMIT PARKING.

Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:

a. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by deleting therefrom the following item:

“Kolowaka Dr., from Fort Weaver Rd. to Koka St.”

b. By amending Schedule XI of Sec. 15-8.3(b) establishing no turns by deleting therefrom the following item:

“Wyllie St. No left turn out of the Koko Head driveway fronting Maemae School onto Wyllie St.”

c. By amending Schedule XX of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(7) establishing tow zones–24 hours in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Date St., mauka side, distance 165’ Ewa direction from a point 260’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Olokele St.”

“Date St., makai side, distance 70’ Ewa direction from a point 315’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Olokele St.”

“S. King St., mauka side, distance 90’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Akoko Ln.”
2. By amending thereto the following item:

Bishop St., Ewa side, distance 70’ mauka direction from the mauka curb
prolongation of Nimitz Hwy.; to read:

“Bishop St., Ewa side, distance 77’ mauka direction from the mauka curb pro longation of Nimitz Hwy.”

d. By amending Schedule XXI of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(8) establishing tow zones–specified times by amending thereto the following items:

Bishop St., Ewa side, distance 210’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Queen St., during hrs. 6:30 to 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday except holidays.; to read:

“Bishop St., Ewa side, distance 103’ makai direction from a point 110’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Queen St., 6:30 to 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday except Saturdays, Sundays and State holidays.”

S. King St., mauka side, between Alapai and Sheridan Sts.; to read:

“S. King St., mauka side, between Alapai and Sheridan Sts., except for portions specified in Sched. 20.”

e By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas by adding thereto the following items:

“Apoke Pl., within its turnaround area.”

“Heau Pl., Mokuleia (western) side and including its turnaround area.”

“Kamakahala St., within its turnaround area.”

“Keakula St., Wahiawa (southern) side, distance 103’ Kahuku (easterly) direction from a point 28’ Mokuleia (west) of the Mokuleia (western) curb prolongation of Wanini St.”

“Kolu Pl., Kahuku (eastern) side and including its turnaround area.”

“Oliana Pl., within its turnaround area.”

“Wanini Pl., makai (northern) side and including its turnaround area.”

“Wanini St., Kahuku (eastern) side, distance 80’ makai (northerly) direction from the makai curb prolongation of Keakula St.”

f. By amending Schedule XXIV of Sec. 15-15.1(d) establishing curb loading zones in the following particulars:

1. By amending thereto subsection (a) passenger loading zones the following item:

Bishop St., Ewa side, distance 44’ mauka direction from a point 70’
mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Nimitz Hwy.; to read:

“Bishop St., Ewa side, distance 58’ mauka direction from a point 77’
mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Nimitz Hwy., 24 hours except 6:30 to 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.”

2. By amending thereto subsection (b) freight loading zones the following item:

Bishop St., Ewa side, distance 40’ makai direction from a point 40’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Merchant St., Monday to Saturday,
except tow-away hours; to read:

“Bishop St., Ewa side, distance 40’ makai direction from a point 40’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Merchant St. 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday; 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturdays except Sundays and State holidays.”

Bishop St., Ewa side, distance 45’ mauka direction from a point 114’
mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Nimitz Hwy., Monday to Saturday except tow-away hrs.; to read:

“Bishop St., Ewa side, distance 45’ mauka direction from a point 135’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Nimitz Hwy. 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday; 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturdays except Sundays and State holidays.”

g. By amending Schedule XXV of Sec. 15-15.3(d) establishing official bus stops in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Kapahulu Ave., Koko Head side, distance 150’ makai direction from a point 34’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Cartwright Rd.”

“Kolowaka Dr., mauka side, distance 150’ Waianae direction from a point 233’ Waianae of the Waianae curb prolongation of Fort Weaver Rd.”

“Kolowaka Dr., mauka side, distance 113’ Waianae direction from a point 16’ Waianae of the Waianae curb prolongation of Koka St.”
“Kolowaka Dr., mauka side, distance 129’ Waianae direction from the Waianae curb prolongation of Waiapo Pl.”

“Kolowaka Dr., mauka side, distance 150’ Waianae direction from a point 300’ Waianae of the Waianae curb prolongation of Poowai Pl.”

2. By amending thereto the following items:

Bishop St., Ewa side, distance 100’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Queen St.; to read:

“Bishop St., Ewa side, distance 110’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Queen St.”

Prospect St., makai side, distance 86’ Koko Head direction from a point 340’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Maunaihi St.; to read:

“Prospect St., makai side, distance 95’ Koko Head direction from a point 340’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Maunaihi St.”

3. By deleting therefrom the following item:

“Kalaimoku St., Koko Head side, distance 150’ makai direction from a point 103’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Kuhio Ave.”

h. By amending Schedule XXVI of Sec. 15-16.1 establishing time limit parking by adding thereto the following item:

“Kaahumanu St., Ewa side, distance approximately 316’ makai direction from a point 294’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Kuleana St.”

Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
