POLICY ANALYST

The State of Hawaii is looking for a senior level analyst to develop and analyze policies in the areas of land use, transportation, taxation, agriculture, and related fields. Candidates should have a solid working knowledge of public policy issues and State statutes. Familiarity with
the legislative process helpful but not essential. Exceptional writing skills and good speaking skills a must. Ability to synthesize large amounts of data, understand complex problems, and develop concrete courses of action are essential to effectively carry out the duties of this position. Minimum Bachelors degree in business, law, public administration, journalism, or related field with at least five years of experience in review and analyses of issues; evaluation of policies, plans, or studies; or research and development of alternative solutions. Applicants must
be citizens, permanent resident aliens, or nationals of the U.S. Salary up to $65,000 dependent upon qualifications. Comprehensive health benefit plans, retirement, vacation and sick leaves.
