SERVICE AREA ADMINISTRATORS
For Counties of Hawaii and Kauai

Provides oversight planning, monitoring, and evaluating of county-based programs and services funded by the AMHD. MQ: Master’s degree in social work with experience in mental health, a Master’s degree in nursing specializing in psychiatry, a Master’s degree in public health with an emphasis on administration and planning, a Master’s degree in psychology, or a Doctoral degree in psychology, from an accredited college or university. A minimum of 5 years experience working with mentally ill consumers with knowledge of community-based mental health services is required for the position.

PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT (PI) SPECIALIST

Participates in monitoring and improving the quality of care provided to consumers served by the Community Mental Health Centers and purchase of service providers. Also responsible to review and investigate sentinel events and quality of care complaints. MQ: bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, nursing, or other related field; and 2 years experience in a psychiatric setting or relevant experience. Relevant substitutions for education will be considered with appropriate licensure. Licensure and 2 years experience in quality improvement preferred.
