AUDITOR IV
The Insurance Division, Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, State of Hawaii, is seeking a qualified individual to fill a full time, permanent, exempt position to assist the Motor Vehicle Insurance Fraud Investigations Unit. The Auditor will conduct audits, gather and preserve evidence, prepare reports and spreadsheets, and render opinions for criminal cases.
Experience: Three years professional auditing and forensic auditing experience desirable. Experience in criminal investigation preferred. Knowledge of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding and the insurance industry preferred.
Recommended skills: Basic knowledge and familiarity of generally accepted accounting principles, auditing principles, forensic auditing techniques and practices. Ability to independently identify altered documents and gather and preserve evidence for criminal prosecution. Knowledge of criminal investigations is highly recommended.
Minimum education and training: Graduation from an accredited college or university with at least 12 semester hours in accounting and/or auditing subjects. Excess experience in accounting or the auditing field may be substituted for education.
