NOTICE TO PROPOSERS

Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS), Chapter 103D, the County of Kauai, Department of Finance is requesting proposals for Third Party Administrators (TPA) with established expertise and experience in workers’ compensation claims administration.

Proposals shall be received no later than 2:00 p.m., HST, November 6, 2006 in the office of:

Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii 96766

Proposals received after the time and date fixed for submission will not be considered.

Before any prospective Offeror shall be entitled to submit an Offer, the Offeror must, wherein applicable, comply with the provisions of Section 103-55, HRS, regulating wages and hours and working conditions of employees of contractors supplying services to government agencies. Accordingly, a prospective Offeror shall complete the certificate as provided as Schedule “F”.

The successful Proposer shall comply with the tax clearance requirements of HRS 103-53 and the responsibility of offerors of HRS 103D-310(c) and HAR 3-122-112.

The Director of Finance reserves the right to cancel the Request for Proposals and to reject any or all proposals in whole or in part when it is in the best interest of the County.

This request for proposal shall be governed by the requirements of HRS Chapter 103D and the respective Hawaii Administrative Rules and copies must be obtained from the Division of Purchasing, phone (808) 241-6288, by application for Proposal Document No. P0100.
