The State Office of Planning (OP) is recruiting for positions in the Coastal Zone Management Program and the Land Use Division. The positions will be responsible for strategic planning and policy development relating to land and ocean uses in Hawaii.
The OP is the lead agency for the state Coastal Zone Management Program, represents the state before the Land Use Commission, and administers the statewide geographic information systems program.
OP addresses current and pressing issues related to growth, development and preservation in our state, with a focus on complex issues that affect or involve more than one agency or level of government.
We are looking for energetic people who want an opportunity to impact Hawaiis future, with good analytical thinking and writing skills, and a degree in planning or an equivalent major.
