SECTION 8 TENANT-BASED
WAIT LIST

The Hawaii Public Housing Authority (HPHA) will reopen the Wait List and begin accepting pre-applications for its Section 8 tenant-based Housing Choice Voucher for the island of Oahu. Pre-applications will be available from July 3, 2006 through July 7, 2006 at nine (9) locations listed below. The pre-application distribution for the Section 8 wait list will end at the close of business on July 7, 2006. Interested persons must submit a pre-application postmarked between July 3, 2006 and July 11, 2006 in the self-addressed envelope that HPHA has provided. Only one pre-application per envelope will be accepted. Multiple applications in a single self-addressed envelope will not be accepted. Photocopies or hand deliveries will not be accepted. HPHA will not accept any pre-applications postmarked after July 11, 2006. HPHA will not be responsible for material that is illegible or missing as a result of postal failures. Once received, HPHA will stamp each pre-application with the date and time as it is opened.

The Section 8 programs provide rental assistance to families who meet established eligibility criteria and who are within the following applicable income limits:
