NOTICE TO BIDDERS
SEALED TENDERS will be received up to and publicly opened at 2:00 p.m. on April 6, 2006 in the office of the Division of Purchasing, Building C, mezzanine level, Department of Finance and Administration, Oahu Transit Services, Inc., 811 Middle Street, Honolulu, Hawaii for Furnishing, Delivery and Installation of Panel and Desking Office Systems. Proposal Document No. 2006-19 may be obtained from the Office of the Purchasing Division, Department of Finance and Administration, Building C, mezzanine floor, Oahu Transit Services, In., 811 Middle Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96819-2316.

Bidder’s are advised of the following:

DBE Assurances. Discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin or sex in the performance of this contract is prohibited. The applicable requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 shall be carried out in the award and administration of this contract. Failure to carry out these requirements is a breach of this contract, which may result in termination of this contract or such other remedy as the Vice President of Finance and Administration deems appropriate.

Civil Rights. Nondiscrimination (Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, as amended, Age Discrimination Act of 1975, as amended, Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, as amended, and Federal transit law at 49 U.S.C. #5332) and Equal Employment Opportunity (Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, as amended, 42 U.S.C. #2000e, and Federal transit laws 49 U.S.C. 5332 Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, as amended, 29 U.S.C. #623) and Disabilities (American with Disabilities Act, as amended, 42 U.S.C. #12112) requirements shall apply to this project.

Program Fraud and False or Fraudulent Statements or Related Acts. Program Fraud Civil Remedies Act of 1986, as amended, 31 U.S.C. 3801 et seq and U.S. DOT regulations, “Program Fraud Civil Remedies”, 49 C.F.R. Part 31, apply to this contract.

Bidders shall be registered and incorporated or organized under the laws of the State of Hawaii (hereinafter referred to as a “Hawaii business”) or be registered to do business in the State of Hawaii, (hereinafter referred to as a “compliant non-Hawaii business).
