NOTICE TO BIDDERS

BID FORMS for IFB No. 08-014, with plans, HAMILTON LIBRARY – GROUND FLOOR RENOVATION, will be available from and received in the OFFICE OF PROCUREMENT AND REAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT (OPRPM), UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII, 1400 LOWER CAMPUS ROAD, ROOM 15, HONOLULU, HAWAII 96822.

Written notice of intention to bid is due in OPRPM by 4:30 p.m., September 7, 2007. Intention to bid via FAX (808) 956-2093 is acceptable.

Due to conditions at the site that may not be clearly identified in technical specifications and plans, it is highly recommended that all bidders and Mechanical Contractors (C-52) attend the pre-bid conference/job site walk-through at 2:00 p.m., August 28, 2007, at Hamilton Library, Room 301, 2550 McCarthy Mall, Honolulu. Bidders must purchase a Gate Ticket ($3.00) and park in the Quarry, Zone 20. Bidders are to display the visitor parking ticket on their dashboard in plain view of parking guards.

Requests for Substitution/Clarification must be submitted to the Technical Representative, Bruce Teramoto, no later than 4:00 p.m., September 4, 2007.

Bids must be submitted no later than 2:30 p.m., September 18, 2007. Bids received after the due time and date(s) fixed above will not be considered.

The project shall generally consist of selective removal work, earthwork, concrete box culverts, micro-piles, reinforced concrete footing, floor slab, retaining walls, concrete unit masonry walls, metal fabrications, carpentry, waterproofing, pre-fabricated walk-in freezer, freezer floor insulation, wall insulation, elastomeric non-slip coating, doors, watertight flood doors, windows, architectural finishes, building specialties, motorized shades, prefabricated walk-in freezer, mechanical freight lift, plumbing, air conditioning and ventilation, fire protection and alarm systems, electrical, hazardous material abatement, concrete sidewalk, curb, connecting utilities, landscape, complete.

To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii contractor\u2019s license B. BIDS FROM CONTRACTORS NOT LICENSED IN THE STATE OF HAWAII WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
