The Hawaii Department of Education is accepting subgrant applications to plan and develop two (2) new start-up public charter schools.

The application for these two (2) competitive, discretionary subgrant awards for developers of proposed new start-up public charter schools are available for downloading on:

1. The Department of Education’s website @ http://
www.issb.k12.bi.us/under “charter schools.”
2. The Hawaii Charter School Administrative Office
website @ http://www.hcsao.org/

or in hard copy by calling the Public Charter Schools Program Office at (808) 586-3570.

The deadline for receipt of completed subgrant applications is Friday, August 18, 2006.
