NOTICE TO BIDDERS

BID FORMS for IFB No. 07-002, with plans, Kuykendall Hall, Replace Central Chilled Water Plant Equipment will be available from and received in the OFFICE OF PROCUREMENT AND REAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT (OPRPM), UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII, 1400 LOWER CAMPUS ROAD, ROOM 15, HONOLULU, HAWAII 96822.

Written notice of intention to bid is due in OPRPM by 4:30 p.m., August 4, 2006. Intention to bid via FAX (808) 956-2093 is acceptable.

All bidders and Mechanical Contractors (C-52) shall attend a mandatory pre-bid conference/job site walk-through at 9:00 a.m., July 27, 2006, at the Kuykendall Hall, Room 301, 1733 Donaghho Road, Honolulu. Bidders must purchase a Gate Ticket ($3.00) and park in the Parking Structure, Zone 20 quarry. Bidders must display the visitor parking ticket on their dashboard in plain view for parking guards. Do not enter the East-West Road or Maile Way Gate. Bidders are to identify themselves to the parking attendant as Contractors attending the Kuykendall Hall Pre-bid Conference. Bidders shall walk up to the street level between the Law Library and Law School. Cross Dole Street and as you walk up, Campus Center will be on your left and Kuykendall will be on your right.

Requests for Substitution/Clarification must be submitted to the Technical Representative, Blake Araki, of the Facilities Planning and Management Office, FAX (808) 956-5385, no later than 4:00 p.m., August 2, 2006.

Bids must be submitted no later than 2:30 p.m., August 16, 2006.

The work shall generally consist of the replacement of water-cooled chillers CH-1 & CH-2; piping; chilled water pumps CHWP-1 & CHWP-2; condenser water pumps CWP-1 & CWP-2; cooling towers; air separator; expansion tank and associated controls; demolition; concrete curbs and pads; chillers and pumps; doors; exhaust fan and ductwork and a new air intake louver; lead paint; electrical; trenching; raceway and telecom cabling for new DDC network connection, complete.

To be eligible to bid, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii contractor\u2019s license B. BIDS FROM OUT-OF-STATE CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Bids received after the due time and date(s) fixed above will not be considered.
