A BILL TO ADOPT THE REVISED CENTRAL OAHU SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES PLAN FOR THE CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU.
The purpose of this ordinance is to repeal the existing Sustainable Communities Plan (SCP) for Central Oahu, Article, 5, Chapter 24, Revised Ordinances of Honolulu 1990, and to adopt a new Article 5, incorporating the revised Central Oahu Sustainable Communities Plan.
The development plan ordinance adopts a revised sustainable communities plan for Central Oahu that presents a vision for Central Oahu’s future development consisting of policies, guidelines, and conceptual schemes that will serve as a policy guide for more detailed zoning maps and regulations and for public and private sector investment decisions.
The draft revised Central Oahu SCP is available for viewing at the Department of Planning and Permitting at 650 South King Street, 7th Floor, 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or online at http://www.honoluludpp.org/Planning/Development &SustainableCommunitiesPlan/CentralOahuPlan; the Municipal Records andReference Center at 558 South King Street, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; the Kapolei Hale at 1000 Uluohia Street, 1st Floor, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; and at key libraries at Mililani, Wahiawa, Waipahu, Pearl City, and the State Library.

Public testimony is to be taken at the hearing by registering at the public hearing. Written testimony (15 copies) may be filed with the Planning Commission at least two business days before the date and time of the hearing. Attendance at the public hearing is not necessary to submit written testimony.
