Traffic Schedule No. 2017-6
TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2017-6 TO AMEND SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XIII OF SECTION 15-11.2(c) ESTABLISHING YIELD RIGHT-OF-WAY; SCHEDULE XIV OF SECTION 15-11.3 ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTIONS; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXV OF SECTION 15-15.3(d) ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL BUS STOPS; SCHEDULE XXXII OF SECTION 15-6.7(c) ESTABLISHING TWO-WAY LEFT TURN LANES; SCHEDULE XXXIV OF SECTION 15-18.3(c) ESTABLISHING BICYCLE LANES; SCHEDULE XXXVIII OF SECTION 15-24.17 ESTABLISHING MISCELLANEOUS TRAFFIC CONTROLS.
Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:
a. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by adding thereto the following items:
“Kuahaka St., for its entire length.”
“Lumiloke St., for its entire length.”
“Plum St., for its entire length.”
b. By amending Schedule XIII of Sec. 15-11.2(c) establishing yield right-of-way in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following item:
“Kamehameha Hwy-Lehua Ave. Traffic on Kamehameha Hwy. making a right turn from the channelized lane into Lehua Ave. shall yield the right-of-way to traffic on Lehua Ave.”
2. By deleting therefrom the following item:
“Goodale Ave-Waialua Beach Rd. Traffic on Goodale Ave. shall yield the right-of-way to traffic approaching from the left on Waialua Beach Rd. before making a right turn into said Waialua Beach Rd.”
c. By amending Schedule XIV of Sec. 15-11.3 establishing stop intersections in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
“Goodale Ave-Waialua Beach Rd. Traffic on Goodale Ave. shall stop before entering Waialua Beach Rd.”
“Mahinaau Rd. (private)-Maiuu Rd. (private). Traffic on Mahinaau Rd. (private) shall stop before entering Maiuu Rd. (private).”
“Mahoa Pl-Wekiu St. Traffic on Mahoa Pl. shall stop before entering Wekiu St.”
“Plum St-California Ave. Traffic on Plum St. shall stop before entering California Ave.”
2. By deleting therefrom the following item:
“Goodale Ave-Waialua Beach Rd. Traffic on Goodale Ave., stop before turning left into Waialua Beach Rd.”
d. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
“Mahoa Pl., both sides for its entire length and including its turnaround area.”
“Mokulua Dr., mauka side, distance 60’ Makapuu direction from the Makapuu curb prolongation of Aalapapa Dr. (Kahuku intersection).”
“Waialua Beach Rd., western side, distance 970’ southerly direction from the southern curb prolongation of Goodale Ave.”
2. By amending thereto the following items:
Hoolulu St., Ewa side, between Kapahulu Ave. and Winam Ave.; to read:
“Hoolulu St., mauka side, between Kapahulu Ave. and Winam Ave.”
Wood St., mauka side, distance 60’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Pali Hwy; to read:
“Wood St., mauka side, for its entire length.”
e. By amending Schedule XXV of Sec. 15-15.3(d) establishing official bus stops in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following item:
“Diamond Head Rd., makai side, distance 185’ Koko Head direction from a point 440’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Trousseau St.”
2. By deleting therefrom the following item:
“Diamond Head Rd., makai side, distance 150’ makai direction from a point 87’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Makapuu Ave.”
f. By amending Schedule XXXII of Sec. 15-6.7(c) establishing two-way left turn lanes by adding thereto the following item:
“Lehua Ave., between 4th St. and 2nd St.”
g. By amending Schedule XXXIV of Sec. 15-18.3(c) establishing bicycle lanes by adding thereto the following item:
“Lehua Ave., both sides, between 3rd St. and Road ’A’.”
h. By amending Schedule XXXVIII of Sec. 15-24.17 establishing miscellaneous traffic controls by adding thereto the following item:
“Lehua Ave., makai bound traffic in the Koko Head lane must turn left at 4th St.”
Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
