NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes (“HRS”), Chapter 91, the Department of Public Safety (“DPS”) will hold a public hearing to accept comments/suggestions/testimony on proposed amendments to Hawaii Administrative Rule (“HAR”) Title 23, Chapters 200 and 201, entitled, “Regulations of Controlled Substances and Regulated Chemicals for the Manufacture of Controlled Substances.” The proposed amendments increase fees for registrants, adds the requirement for change of location or business address, clarifies the term “failure to pay fees,” and makes other nonsubstantive edits.
A free copy of the proposed rule change will be mailed to any interested person who sends a stamped, self-addressed envelope to the Department of Public Safety, 919 Ala Moana BLVD, RM400, Honolulu, Hawaii 96814, ATTN: NED Administrator. The proposed amendments may also be viewed at: http://ltgov.hawaii.gov/ the-office/administrative-rules/. Interested person (s) may also view the rule change in person at 919 Ala Moana BLVD, RM400, Honolulu, Hawaii 96814 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Comments/suggestions/testimony for the hearing may be sent to : Jared.K.Redulla@hawaii.gov, or mailed to NED Administrator Jared Redulla at 919 Ala Moana BLVD, RM400, Honolulu, Hawaii 96814.
The public hearing will be held in the fifth floor conference room, at 919 Ala Moana BLVD, Honolulu, Hawaii 96814, at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, July 17, 2017, during which public testimony can be presented or submitted. Anyone with a hearing impairment who desires to attend the public hearing may request the assistance of a sign language interpreter. The request will need to be received at least seven days before the hearing is scheduled to start. The request may be mailed to the address in the preceding paragraph or made via phone by calling (808) 837-8470 in Honolulu.
