NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
MAUI PLANNING COMMISSION
The Maui Planning Commission for the County of Maui herebygives notice that it will conduct a hearing on June 27, 2017 commencing at 9:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as is practicable in the Planning Department Conference Room, 1st Floor, Kalana Pakui Building, 250 S. High Street, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793 on the following:
CHANGE IN ZONING, CONDITIONAL PERMIT, AND SPECIAL MANAGEMENT AREA USE PERMIT
NATION LAND COMPANY, LLC requesting the following entitlements for the proposed South Maui Gardens Development at Auhana Road consisting of six (6) single-story commercial buildings, plant nursery, nine (9) condominiumized single-family residences with pool/spa with associated parking lots, landscaping, and road improvements for all proposed uses located at 30 Alahele Place, 33 and 55 Auhana Road, TMK: 3-9-003: 003, 005, and 3-9- 017: 023, Kihei, Island of Maui. SHORELINE SETBACK VARIANCE
MS. SUZANNE CASE, Director, STATE DEPARTMENT OF LAND AND NATURAL RESOURCES requesting Shoreline Setback Variance for the Lahaina Small Boat Harbor Ferry Pier Improvements project to replace the existing Administration building, repair the seawall fronting the Coast Guard Lighthouse and various improvements on Wharf Street at TMK: 4-6-001: 003, 014, and 017, and Wharf Street, Lahaina, Island of Maui. The subject public hearings will be conducted in accordance with the Hawaii Revised Statutes, the Maui County Code and the Rules of the Maui Planning Commission. Information pertaining to the subject applications may be obtained from the Maui County Planning Department, 2200 Main Street, Suite 619, Wailuku, Maui.
Petitions to intervene shall be in conformity with Section 12-201-20 of the Rules of Practice and Procedure for the Maui Planning Commission and shall be filed with the Commission and served upon the applicant no less than ten (10) days before the first public hearing date. Filing of all documents to the Commission is c/o the Maui Planning Department, 2200 Main Street, Suite 315, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793. The deadline for the filing of a timely petition to intervene if the first public hearing date is June 27, 2017 is June 13, 2017.
All testimony regarding the subject applications may be filed prior to the date of the hearing by providing 15 copies of said written testimony to the Department of Planning or may be presented at the time of the hearing.
