LEEWARD AND WINDWARD PLANNING COMMISSIONS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following matters to be considered by the Leeward and Windward Planning Commissions of the County of Hawaii in accordance with the provisions of Chapters 91 and 92, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 6-7.5(a) of the Charter of the County of Hawaii, and the Commission’s Rules of Practice and Procedure.

1. Review and action of proposed amendments to the County of Hawaii’s Planning Commissions’ Rules of Practice and Procedure related to adoption of new Planned Unit Development (PUD) Rule 16, amending application processing and action timelines, appeallanguage, and revocation language for various permits and approvals, and amendments to Rule 4 for Contested Case Procedures.

The purpose of the public hearing is to afford all interested persons a reasonable opportunity to be heard on the above matter.
To minimize costs without impacting the availability to the public for review, the proposed rule changes are available on the Planning Department’s website at www.cohplanningdept.com. Copies of the proposed rules are available at the Planning Department, Aupuni Center, 101 Pauahi Street, Suite 3, Hilo, Hawaii and at the Planning Department, West Hawaii Civic Center, 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Copies are also available via mail upon request.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or language interpretation to access this meeting, please contact the Planning Department at 961-8288 as soon as possible, but no later than five working days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for accommodations. “Other reasonable modification” refers to communication methods or devices for people with disabilities who are mentally and/or physically challenged.
