Notice of Funding Opportunity
EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANTS PROGRAM
The City and County of Honolulu, through its Department of Community Services, is soliciting applications from qualified nonprofit agencies for the EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANTS PROGRAM (ESG), authorized by Subtitle B of Title IV of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. §§11371-11378). Approximately $1.3 million in funding is anticipated to be available for emergency shelter operations and services, and homelessness prevention and rapid re-housing activities which help persons who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness.
Interested agencies may pick up the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) packet at the Department of Community Services, 715 South King Street, Suite 311, Honolulu, Hawaii. Agencies may also request an electronic version of the NOFO via an email to Jan Yokota at jyokota@honolulu.gov.
A public information meeting for the NOFO will be held at the Department of Community Services, 715 South King Street, 2nd Floor Conference Room, Honolulu, Hawaii, on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Attendance at the information meeting is encouraged, but not required. Please note that parking in the building will not be validated.
Applications must be submitted to the Department of Community Services, 715 South King Street, Suite 311, Honolulu, Hawaii by 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2017.
