Traffic Schedule No. 2017-1
TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2017-1 TO AMEND SCHEDULE I OF SECTION 15-6.2(a) ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC SIGNALS (CITY); SCHEDULE II OF SECTION 15-6.2(b) ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC SIGNALS ON FEDERAL AID HIGHWAYS (STATE); SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XI OF SECTION 15-8.3(b) ESTABLISHING NO TURNS; SCHEDULE XIV OF SECTION 15-11.3 ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTIONS; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXVI OF SECTION 15-16.1 ESTABLISHING TIME LIMIT PARKING; SCHEDULE XXVII OF SECTION 15-17.1 ESTABLISHING CROSSWALKS; SCHEDULE XXX OF SECTION 15-22.1(a) ESTABLISHING PARKING METER ZONES.
Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:
a. By amending Schedule I of Sec. 15-6.2(a) establishing traffic signals in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following item:
“Hene St-Waipahu St.”
2. By deleting therefrom the following item:
“Kahekili Hwy-Keaahala Rd.”
b. By amending Schedule II of Sec. 15-6.2(b) establishing traffic signals on Federal Aid Highways (State) by adding thereto the following item:
“Kahekili Hwy-Keaahala Rd.”
c. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by adding thereto the following items:
“Hene St., for its entire length.”
“Keaahala Rd., for its entire length.”
“Lonomea St., for its entire length.”
“Polina Pl., for its entire length.”
“Poloai Wy., for its entire length.”
“Poluhi Wy., for its entire length.”
“Poohuku Wy., for its entire length.”
“Poolau Wy., for its entire length.”
d. By amending Schedule XI of Sec. 15-8.3(b) establishing no turns by adding thereto the following items:
“Maunakea St. No turns from Maunakea St. into Pauahi St. in the makai direction except for cars, small vans and pick-up trucks.”
“Nuuanu Ave. No turns from Nuuanu Ave. into Pauahi St. in the makai direction except for cars, small vans and pick-up trucks.”
“Pauahi St. No right turn from Pauahi St. into Smith St. in the mauka direction except for cars, small vans and pick-up trucks.”
“Pauahi St. No right turn from Pauahi St. into Maunakea St. in the makai direction except for cars, small vans and pick-up trucks.”
“Pauahi St. No right turn from Pauahi St. into River St. in the mauka direction except for cars, small vans and pick-up trucks.”
“River St. No right turn from River St. into Pauahi St. in the Koko Head direction except for cars, small vans and pick-up trucks.”
“Smith St. No turns from Smith St. into Pauahi St. in the mauka direction except for cars, small vans and pick-up trucks.”
e. By amending Schedule XIV of Sec. 15-11.3 establishing stop intersections by adding thereto the following items:
“Kalakaua Ave-Keoniana St. Traffic on Keoniana St. shall stop before entering Kalakaua Ave.”
“Kapolei Pkwy-Papipi Rd. Traffic on Kapolei Pkwy. shall stop before entering Papipi Rd.”
Kapolei Pkwy-Papipi Rd. Traffic on Papipi Rd., shall stop before entering Kapolei Pkwy.”
“Keoniana St-Kalakaua Ave. Traffic on Kalakaua Ave. shall stop before entering Keoniana St.”
“Polina Pl-Kupuohi St. Traffic on Polina Pl. shall stop before entering Kupuohi St.”
“Poloai Wy-Polina Pl. Traffic on Poloai Wy. shall stop before entering Polina Pl.”
“Poluhi Wy-Polina Pl. Traffic on Poluhi Wy. shall stop before entering Polina Pl.”
“Poohuku Wy-Polina Pl. Traffic on Poohuku Wy. shall stop before entering Polina Pl.”

f. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
“Kunehi St., western side, distance 70’ southerly direction from a point 110’ south of the southern curb prolongation of Luakalai St.”
“Manawai St., eastern side, distance 110’ northerly direction from a point 240’ north of the northern curb prolongation of Kukulu St.”
“Manawai St., western side, distance 70’ southerly direction from a point 270’ south of the southern curb prolongation of Kakala St.”
“Namahana St., Ewa side, distance 68’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Ala Wai Blvd.”
“Pahoa Ave., mauka side, distance 94’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Luawai St.”
“Polina Pl., within its turnaround area.”
“Poloai Wy., eastern side, for its entire length and including its turnaround area.”
“Poluhi Wy., within its turnaround area.”
“Poohuku Wy., within its turnaround area.”
“Poolau Wy., within its turnaround area.”
2. By amending thereto the following item:
Hene St., both sides, between Waipahu St. and Kipou St.; to read:
“Hene St., both sides, between Waipahu and Kipou Sts. (southern intersection)”
g. By amending Schedule XXVI of Sec. 15-16.1 establishing time limit parking by adding thereto the following item:
“Walina St., (2 hrs.) both sides, between Ala Wai Blvd. and Kuhio Ave.
h. By amending Schedule XXVII of Sec. 15-17.1 establishing crosswalks by deleting therefrom the following item:
“Dole St., 560’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of East-West Rd.”
i. By amending Schedule XXX of Sec. 15-22.1(a) establishing parking meter zones by adding thereto the following item:
“Walina St., both sides, between Ala Wai Blvd. and Kuhio Ave.”
Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
