Pearl City, Oahu Duties: The primary purpose of this position is to staff the statewide Crisis Line of Hawaii program. The function of this position includes, but is not necessarily limited to, providing supportive telephone counseling, screening for urgent or emergent mental health needs, authorizing and dispatching crisis support services, and providing information on services in the community. The Crisis Line of Hawaii serves the larger community by providing essential safety-net supports, including information and referral, supportive telephone counseling, and crisis outreach services for persons of all ages. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in nursing, social work, or other human service degree. A diploma RN may qualify depending on experience. One year experience in working with the seriously mentally ill or one year experience with a crisis line as a volunteer or paid staff or one year experience in mentalhealth not necessarily working with seriously mentally ill.
