Various Islands Education Requirement for both Psychiatrist – Outpatient & Branch Medical Director: Graduation from an approved medical school in the US/Canada/Foreign Medical School with certification by Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). Completion of one (1) year of approved internship and three (3) years of psychiatric residency training. Board certified or meets the criteria to sit for the examination of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Psychiatrist – Outpatient Duties & Experience Requirement: The primary function is to provide direct clinical and consultative psychiatric services for a variety of service programs within and outside the Community Mental Health Center Branch Clinics and affiliated programs and facilities as assigned, and provide clinical guidance for other members of interdisciplinary teams. Salary ranges from $14,806 – $24,221 monthly, commensurate w/ training and experience. Experience Requirement: One (1) year experience in working with forensic consumers or one (1) year of experience in outpatient or community psychiatric or one (1) year of additional post graduate training appropriate to the position which is preferred. License: Valid permanent or temporary license to practice medicine in the State of Hawaii. Valid State of Hawaii Narcotics Enforcement Administration Registration and Federal Drug Enforcement Administration registration. Psychiatrist – Branch Medical Director Duties & Experience Requirement: The primary function of the Psychiatrist – Branch Medical Director is to provide Clinical Guidance and Leadership services to the Branch to include review of treatment records, evaluation of clinical services; feedback on the quality of services; and assessment and improvement on system performance. Salary ranges from $17,027 – $24,221 monthly, commensurate w/training and experience. Experience Requirement: Three and one half (3-1/2) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in a community inpatient psychiatric program involved with directing rehabilitation programming services; two (2) years of supervisory experience in an outpatient program setting, including performance evaluation and labor relations.
