Notice of Availability of
Navy’s Waste Load Allocation Completion Report
Navy Region Hawaii, Oahu, Hawaii

The Navy announces the availability of its Waste Load Allocation (WLA) Completion Report for the North Fork of Kaukonahua Stream, Wahiawa, Oahu. This document has been prepared in accordance with the Navy Region Hawaii (NRH) NPDES Permit No. HI S000257. WLAs were specified as part of Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs) established by the State to specify the maximum amount of nitrogen and turbidity that the stream could receive to achieve water quality standards. The report summarizes storm water flow during wet and dry seasons from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Wahiawa Annex into the North Fork of Kaukonahua Stream, including calculations for comparison with TMDL WLAs.

The report will be posted for a 30-day public comment period (November 13, 2016 -December 13, 2016) on NRH’s Storm Water Program webpage at www.cnic.navy.mil/storm_water. Comments can be sent to the address or email below, no later than December 13, 2016, to:
