NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
STATE OF HAWAII
PROPOSED HAWAII OUTDOOR DEVELOPED AREAS ACCESSIBILITY GUIDELINES

Pursuant to §11-216-85, Hawaii Administrative Rules, notice is hereby given that the State of Hawaii, Department of Health, Disability and Communication Access Board will hold public hearings to receive testimony on the proposed Hawaii Outdoor Developed Areas Accessibility Guidelines. The adoption of these guidelines will improve access for persons with disabilities to camping areas, picnic areas, viewing areas, trails and beaches.

Public hearings to allow all interested persons a reasonable opportunity to provide comments with regards to whether the proposed guidelines should be adopted for projectssubject to §103-50, Hawaii Revised Statutes as administered by the Disability and Communication Access Board, will be held in all counties in accordance with the following schedule:

Persons wishing to comment are requested to submit five copies of their testimony prior to or at the hearing. Any person requiring a special accommodation (i.e., large print materials, sign language interpreter) is asked to provide such a request at least two weeks before the hearing.
