NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
APPLICATION OF HOH UTILITIES, LLC
FOR APPROVAL OF A GENERAL RATE INCREASE AND
REVISIONS TO ITS RATE SCHEDULES AND TARIFF

The STATE OF HAWAII PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION (“Commission”), pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes §§ 269-12 and 269-16, HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it will hold a public hearing relating to the Application of HOH UTILITIES (“HOH”), filed on September 30, 2015, for Commission review and approval of rate increases, revised rate schedules, and changes to its tariff, based on the January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016 test year (“Application”). The public hearing will be held as follows:

HOH is a public utility that provides wastewater collection and treatment services to approximately 106 bulk and individual customers in the Poipu area. HOH’s service area extends to parts of Koloa Town, although, to date, no service connections have been made from Koloa Town. HOH seeks the Commission’s approval of a net revenue increase of $287,520, i.e., approximately 38.73% over revenues at present rates, based on a pro forma revenue amount of $742,390 at present rates for the 2016 test year.
HOH specifically proposes to: (1) increase its fixed monthly single family residential charge by $7.37, or approximately 17.49%; (2) increase its fixed monthly multi-family residential charge by $5.55, or approximately 17.65%; (3) increase its fixed monthly commercial charge by $11.43, or approximately 84.23%; (4) increase its fixed monthly resort/hotel charge by $7.26, or approximately 29.58%, and (5) increase its volumetric charge to $6.30 per 1,000 gallons. Additionally, HOH seeks to formalize its provision and sale of effluent generated from its wastewater treatment operations at a rate of $0.90/1000 gallons and to adopt new rules and regulations related thereto.
