Public Hearings


Pursuant to §91-3, Hawai’i Revised Statutes, notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the County of Hawai’i Department of Human Resources for the purpose of considering proposed amendment(s) to Rules of the Department of Human Resources, Title 1 – Rules of the Director. The proposed amendment(s) include, but are not limited to, the following: Chapter 3, Filling of Positions in the Civil Service, Subchapter 4, Medical Standards and Examinations. The proposed amendment(s) removes the requirement of pre-entry medical examinations for all persons and establishes other requirements, including that that pre-entry medical examinations may be required pursuant to procedures promulgated by the Director of Human Resources; and minor housekeeping revisions located in the Table of Contents and Sections 3-23, 3-34, 3-36, 4-2, 4-6, and 8-4.

Copies cost $1.00 for the first page and 10 cents for each additional page plus postage, and will be mailed to interested persons after payment is received for copy and postage fees.
