NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following matters to be considered by the Leeward Planning Commission of the County of Hawaii in accordance with the provisions of Chapters 91 and 92, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 6-7.5(a) of the Charter of the County of Hawaii, and the Commission’s Rules of Practice and Procedure.

NEW BUSINESS – 9:30 a.m.
1. APPLICANT: WHC, LTD. (Amend SPP 833/SPP 92-001)
Request for amendments to Special Permit No. 833 which was originally approved to allow for the operation of a quarry and related uses on approximately 219.990 acres of land situated within the State Land Use Agricultural District. The requested amendments include: 1) amendment to Condition No. 12 (life of the permit) to allow a time extension until
December 31, 2043 or a longer period of time; 2) to allow greenwaste composting; and 3) to allow the processing and recycling of Portland cement concrete and asphalt concrete pavement. The affected property is located on the south side of Waikoloa Road approximately 1,500 feet west of the 3 Mile Marker, Waikoloa, South Kohala, Hawaii, TMK: 6-8-001:portion of 066 (formerly 6-8-001:portion of 005).
