Notice is hereby given that the Council of the County of Kaua’i will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at 1:30 p.m., or soon thereafter, at the Council Chambers, 4396 Rice Street, Room 201, Historic County Building, Lihu’e, on the following:

A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. B-2015-796, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE OPERATING BUDGET OF THE COUNTY OF KAUA’I, STATE OF HAWAI’I, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2015 THROUGH
JUNE 30, 2016, BY REVISING THE AMOUNTS ESTIMATED IN THE GENERAL FUND (Kaua’i Fire Department, Aerial Apparatus Vehicle 10% County Match – $71,909.00)

This Bill proposes to amend Ordinance No. B-2015-796, as amended, by transferring $71,909.00 from the Kaua’i Fire Department’s Fire Operations vehicle lease account within the General Fund, to the Fire Department’s account entitled “Vehicle Lease Purchases.” After being moved to an account that allows for purchasing rather than leasing, the funds will be joined with grant moneys from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and collectively used to purchase an aerial apparatus vehicle for the Kaua’i Fire Department for a total of $719,090.00.

All interested persons who wish to present their comments may do so at the public hearing. Written testimony prior to the hearing would be appreciated. Written testimony can be submitted to the Office of the County Clerk, Council Services Division by mail, facsimile, or via E-mail to counciltestimony@kauai.gov. Copies of the proposed Bill are available at the Office of the County Clerk, Council Services Division.

(The Council Committee or Council may amend this Bill at its subsequent meetings. Meeting notices are posted at least 6 days in advance at the County Clerk’s Office and the public may also testify at any of these meetings.)
