The Parties to this proceeding are the Hawaiian Electric Companies and NextEra, as well as the Consumer Advocate, a division of the State of Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs. In addition, the commission has granted permission for twenty-nine (29) separate entities to intervene as Parties to this proceeding. The comments, testimony, and exhibits of the Parties are subject to a separate procedural schedule in this proceeding, and will not be considered as part of this public listening session, nor will any of the Parties be permitted to testify at the public listening session. Rather, this public listening session is intended to provide an opportunity for members of the broader public, who are not Parties to the proceeding, to offer their views, opinions, and concerns for the commission to consider as part of its overall analysis.
