NOTICE OF COMMUNITY MEETINGS FOR THE RENEWAL OF OCEANIC TIME WARNER CABLE LLC’S KAUAI COUNTY CABLE TELEVISION FRANCHISE

The Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (“DCCA”) Cable Television Division (“CATV”) is currently in the renewal process of Oceanic Time Warner Cable LLC’s (“Oceanic”) Kauai County cable television franchise. As part of this renewal process, DCCA is holding community meetings to obtain the public’s general input and comments on how you or your organization may be able to benefit from services provided by Oceanic and its cable television system in Kauai County, and to obtain feedback on the services currently being provided by Ho’ike: Kauai Community Television. The community meetings will be held as follows:

These community meetings are part of the ascertainment of community needs and interests for Oceanic’s cable television service. Your participation, as an individual or representative of a community organization, will assist DCCA in determining what it should consider in the renewal process.

At the community meetings, information will be provided on the cable television franchising process. All interested persons will be afforded the opportunity to submit their comments, both orally and in writing, at the time of the community meetings and will be asked to fill out a brief questionnaire and survey to help identify cable-related community needs and interests on Kauai. Following the meetings, written comments mayalso be submitted to DCCA no later than September 11, 2015 via the following:
