LEEWARD PLANNING COMMISSION
COUNTY OF HAWAII

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following matters to be considered by the Leeward Planning Commission of the County of Hawaii in accordance with the provisions of Chapters 91 and 92, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 6-7.5(a) of the Charter of the County of Hawaii, and the Commission’s Rules of Practice and Procedure.

NEW BUSINESS – 9:30 a.m.
2. INITIATOR: PLANNING DIRECTOR (SMA 10-039)
Revocation of Special Management Area Use (SMA) Permit No. 10-000039 originally issued to Kawaihae Restaurant, LLC by the Planning Commission on May 3, 2010, to allow the establishment of a restaurant and commercial/recreational uses, facilities and activities consistent with the (Industrial- Commercial Mixed) MCX zoning on 1.32 acres in the Special Management Area. The property is located along the ocean (makai) side of Akoni Pule Highway just north of Kawaihae Harbor, South Kohala, Hawaii, TMK: 6-1-003:015.
3. APPLICANT: ALII BEACH ESTATES III CONDOMINIUM LOT OWNERS (SMA 314)
Amendment to Condition No. 3 (time to complete construction of three remaining dwellings) of Special Management Area Use Permit No. 314, which allowed the construction of six single-family residential units and related improvements within the Special Management Area (SMA). The property is located approximately 450 feet southeast (Keauhou side) of Kahakai Elementary School, Holualoa 1st and 2nd, North Kona, Hawaii, TMK:
7-6-17:006.
The purpose of the public hearing is to afford all interested persons a reasonable opportunity to be heard on the above matter.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or language interpretation to access this meeting please contact the Planning Department at 961-8288 as soon as possible, but no later than five working days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for accommodations. “Other reasonable modification” refers to communication methods or devices for people with disabilities who are mentally and/or physically challenged.
