(ODC 14-035-9178, 14-050-9193)
AMENDED ORDER
(By: Recktenwald, C.J., McKenna, Pollack, and Wilson, JJ., and Intermediate Court of Appeals Associate Judge Foley, in place of Nakayama, J. recused)
On April 6, 2015, the Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) petitioned to transfer Respondent Meyer M. Ueoka to inactive status, due to a mental or physical illness or disability, pursuant to Rule 2.19 of the Rules of the Supreme Court of the State of Hawai’i (RSCH). We note Respondent Ueoka supports the motion, and that a review of the record demonstrates it is justified. Therefore,
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Respondent Ueoka is immediately transferred to inactive status in this jurisdiction, pursuant to RSCH 2.19, effective with the filing of this order and until further order of this court.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Office of Disciplinary Counsel shall suspend and hold in abeyance the disciplinary proceedings initiated against Respondent Ueoka, to the extent required by RSCH Rule 2.19(h).
IT IS FINALLY ORDERED that this order is a public document, pursuant to RSCH Rule 2.22(f), and that the Board shall publicize notice of the transfer of Respondent Ueoka to inactive status, as required by RSCH Rules 2.19(d) and (e).
