NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT

Pursuant to 24 CFR Part 91, notice is given that a draft Consolidated Plan (CP) for program years 2015 – 2019, covering the periods from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2020, which includes a draft Annual Action Plan (AAP) for program year July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016, has been prepared by the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation (HHFDC), Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism, State of Hawaii. The HHFDC is making copies of the proposed CP and AAP available for review and comment.

Copies of the proposed CP and AAP are available for public viewing at regional libraries and on the HHFDC’s website at http://hawaii.gov/dbedt/hhfdc. To be mailed a copy, Hawaii County residents may call Lisa Wond at (808) 587-3182, or toll free to 974-4000, ext. 73182 between the hours of 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Copies may also be picked up at the Office of Housing and Community Development, 50 Wailuku Drive, Hilo, between the hours of 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Interested persons are invited to state their views on the proposed CP and AAP in writing no later than May 4, 2015, to HHFDC at 677 Queen Street, Suite 300, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813. Written comments may be submitted via fax to (808) 587-0600 or via email to hhfdc.consolidatedplan@hawaii.gov by 4:30 p.m. on May 4, 2015. All comments received by the deadline will be considered in preparing the final State CP and AAP.

Hawaii County residents with special needs (i.e., needing proposed amendments to the 2015-2020 CP or 2015 AAP in large print or taped) shall make all requests for access and communication assistance by contacting HHFDC’s departmental personnel officer at 586-2562, or toll free to 974-4000, ext. 62562, by written request, or by email to steven.s.sung@hawaii.gov at least 10 business days before the end of the comment period. Prompt requests submitted help to ensure the availability of appropriate accommodations.
