NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
LANAI PLANNING COMMISSION

The Lanai Planning Commission for the County of Maui hereby gives notice that it will conduct a hearing on December 17, 2014 commencing at 5:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as is practicable in the Lanai High & Elementary School Cafeteria, 555 Fraser Avenue, Lanai City, Lanai, Hawaii 96763 on the following matter:

SPECIAL MANAGEMENT AREA USE PERMIT AND PROJECT DISTRICT PHASE II APPROVAL

MR. KURT MATSUMOTO, Chief Operating Officer of Lanai Resorts, LLC, a Hawaii Limited Company doing business as PULAMA LANAI requesting a Special Management Area Use Permit and a Project District Phase II Approval for the Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay Proposed Improvements at TMK: 4-9- 017:001 (por.), Manele, Island of Lanai. (SM1 2014/0009) (PH2 2014/0003) (B. Sticka)

The proposed project involves renovation that will consolidate twelve (12) existing guestrooms to create the Alii Suite, replacing the existing Main Lobby pool with a new pool complex, enhancements to the Main Lobby Building, landscaping and related improvements.

The subject public hearing will be conducted in accordance with the Hawaii Revised Statutes, the Maui County Code and the Rules of the Lanai Planning Commission. Information pertaining to the subject application may be obtained from the Department of Planning, 2200 Main Street, Suite 619, Wailuku, Maui.

Petitions to intervene shall be in conformity with Section 12-401-20 of the Rules of Practice and Procedure for the Lanai Planning Commission and shall be filed with the Commission and served upon the applicant no less than ten (10) days before the first public hearing date. Filing of all documents to the Commission is c/o the Maui Planning Department, 2200 Main Street, Suite 315, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793. The deadline for the filing of a timely petition to intervene is December 3, 2014.

All testimony regarding the subject application may be filed prior to the date of the hearing by providing 15 copies of said written testimony to the Department of Planning or may be presented at the time of the hearing.
