NOTICE OF INFORMATIONAL MEETING
On Red Hill Fuel Storage Facility
Notice is hereby given that the Department of Health (DOH), in coordination with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 9, is holding an informational meeting to discuss and provide updates on the efforts taken to address the January 13, 2014 fuel release at the Red Hill Fuel Storage Facility. The United States Department of the Navy (Navy) will also be in attendance to share information.
This meeting will provide information on:
The history of the Red Hill Facility including past and current efforts to minimize releases of fuel.
The assessment and mitigation of the January 2014 fuel release;
Measures to assess the threat to drinking water; and
Measures to minimize the threat of future fuel releases.
The Informational Meeting will be held in Oahu, on Tuesday, July 15th, in the Radford High School cafeteria, 4361 Salt Lake Blvd., Honolulu, Hawaii. The meeting will start at 6 pm and sign-in starts at 5:30 pm. The meeting will be structured with short informational presentations, followed by questions from the audience and responses by DOH, EPA and Navy.
