FULL-TIME EXEMPT POSITION

Public Health Preparedness Program Manager

Responsible for directing and coordinating planning, training, infrastructure support and improvement, and program development activities within State Department of Health to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies. This program is funded by a CDC Cooperative Agreement grant. Collaborates with public and private agencies to ensure program integration and leveraging of resources.

Recommended Qualifications:
Sound understanding of public health principles and practice
Knowledge of public health administration and management theory
Experience in program management
Experience in public health
Experience in emergency preparedness and response (NRF, NIMS, HSEEP, and risk and hazard analysis)
Experience in managing multi-year federal cooperative agreements or grants

Education:
Baccalaureate degree; Master’s in public health, public administration, or business administration preferred
Five (5) years of progressive experience in public health planning and analysis

Salary Range:
Beginning at $80,000, contingent on years of appropriate experience, and available funding

Position is currently exempt, with possible conversion to civil service.
