NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The State Rehabilitation Council (SRC) of Hawaii and the Department of Human Services, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), will hold a public hearing to receive comments on the State Plan for Vocational Rehabilitation Services.

The submittal to the Federal government of the State Plan is a requirement for the continuing flow of grant funds to support the activities of the vocational rehabilitation programs. The State Plan cover the method of operation of the state agency.

The public hearing will be held on the following date and islands:

December 19, 2013, 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing and to state their views relative to the Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Plan either orally or in writing. Should written testimony be presented, one (1) copy shall be made available to the presiding officer at the public hearing or to the VR Administrator, 600 Kapiolani Blvd., Rm. 304, Honolulu, HI 96813, by Thursday, December 12, 2013. If any special requests or accommodations are required, please call 586-9743 (V) by December 12, 2013.

A copy of the VR State Plan can be viewed on the Vocational Rehabilitation website after December 1, 2013 at: http://humanservices.hawaii.gov/vocationalrehab/

Copies of the VR State Plan may be obtained in advance of the public hearing after December 1, 2013 by calling any of the following Vocational Rehabilitation offices on regular business days between 7:45 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
