NOTICE OF PETITION FOR RETENTION

The Judicial Selection Commission (JSC) announces that the following judge’s terms expire in the year 2014. In accordance with article VI, § 3 of the Hawai’i Constitution, the following First Circuit Court judges petitioned the JSC to be retained in judicial office: Circuit Judge Patrick W. Border, Circuit Judge Dexter D. Del Rosario and Circuit Judge Richard K. Perkins. The Hawai’i Constitution empowers the JSC to determine whether the judges should be retained in office for an additional term. The JSC invites interested persons to submit written comments or fill out an evaluation form on whether the judges should be retained in office. All written comments and evaluations will be kept confidential. Please visit the JSC’s website and fill out form JS-P-081, the Judicial Evaluation Retention. Written comments and/or form JS-P-081 must be postmarked or faxed by Wednesday, January 15, 2014 to: Commission Chair Doris M. Ching, EdD, Judicial Selection Commission, 417 S.
