NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a public hearing to be held by the Department of Planning and Permitting of the City and County of Honolulu under Chapter 21, Revised Ordinances of Honolulu, as amended, for the following application at the dateand the time specified or soon thereafter:

REQUEST: Special District Permit (Major)
PROPOSAL: To construct a new Joint Traffic Management Center (JTMC) building at the corner of South King Street and Alapai Street adjacent to the recently completed parking structure. The new three-story building will provide offices, collaborative work spaces, Operations Center and appurtenant site improvements. The agencies involved in the JTMC include the State Department of Transportation, City and County of Honolulu Department of Transportation Services, Honolulu Police Department, Honolulu Fire Department, and Honolulu Emergency Services Department, including both the Emergency Medical Services and Ocean Safety Divisions.

Maps showing the general location and boundaries of the area under consideration are on file at the Department of Planning and Permitting, Permit and Zoning Records Access, First Floor, Frank F. Fasi Municipal Building, 650 South King Street, and are available to the public for inspection during office hours, 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. All interested persons are invited to attend. Those persons desiring to testify may register prior to the public hearing at the public hearing site and are encouraged to submit one copy of their testimony in writing.
Attendance at the public hearing is not necessary to submit testimony. Written testimony which is received by the Department of Planning and Permitting at the above address prior to the public hearing will be considered in the evaluation of the request.
