For Public Comment

Pursuant to the Federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998, each local area is to develop a Local Plan regarding WIA programs. It is developed in conformance with detailed directions issued by the State. The State of Hawaii issued these directions on March 13, 2013 with a due date 20 days later on April 2, 2013. Draft Local Plans require approval of their Local Board before they may be submitted to the State for their review and be made available for public comment. The Oahu Board approved the Draft on March 22, 2013 and it was submitted to the State of Hawaii Department of Labor & Industrial Relations on April 2, 2013. The draft has been available for public comment as provided for in the Federal Act for 30 days (first posted on the internet beginning on April 3, 2013) at www.owib.org
