Request for Interest
Emergency Solutions Grant Programs
The Department of Community Services requests applications from qualified nonprofit service providers for the EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANTS PROGRAM (ESG), authorized by subtitle B of title IV of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 11371-11378).
A total of $583,654 in funds is anticipated to be made available for one year agreements to qualified agencies for Homelessness Prevention, Rapid Re-Housing, and Administration activities. The award of funds will be contingent upon: (1) the agency’s ability to meet the performance standards in the RFI; (2) the agency’s previous experience in providing these types of services; and (3) satisfactory performance by the nonprofit agency with other grants, with a preference for those experienced with City administered HUD grants.
Interested agencies may download the Request for Interest in electronic format at the City’s Purchasing website www.honolulu.gov/pur.
