Information Technology Analyst
Exempt from civil service, temporary, full-time.

Duties: Develop/maintain web-based multi-agency information system. Prepare data models, UML diagrams, design specifications, and test plans including test cases for system testing, regression testing and integration testing. Develop project plans for assigned tasks.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university. Knowledge of information systems development methodology and competence in object oriented design principles. At least one year of recent, demonstrated experience with Java or C++ based application development.

Desirable qualifications: J2EE, JSF, Web Services, EJB, JPA, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, XML, WebSphere, DB2, Rational Tools, Eclipse, Linux, System administration skills (OS, VMWare) and networking.

Salary: $53,352 annually, pending qualifications of applicant.

Juvenile Justice Research Analyst
Exempt from civil service, permanent, full-time.
Hawaii State Government Benefits.

Duties: Position involves a range of professional work required in the conduct of major juvenile justice research projects, including research design, data collection and analysis, report preparation, and presentations.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university; at least one year of work experience demonstrating the ability to collect and analyze statistical data and other types of research-related information and to arrive at sound methodological solutions to social science research questions; strong writing skills; and proficiency with SPSS statistical software. Background in criminology and/or juvenile or criminal justice desirable.

Salary: $52,776 annually, pending qualifications of applicant.
