Office Manager

To provide a variety of clerical and administrative services including payroll and personnel processing, purchasing, budget preparation and execution, records and resource management. Minimum qualifications: A minimum of three years of general office work experience and graduation from an accredited college or equivalent; proficiency in computer applications and written and oral communication. Preferred qualifications: prior experience with government processes. Maximum salary 50k. Salary commensurate with experience.

Legislative Analyst

To provide research, policy analysis and legislation drafting services for the City Council. Minimum requirements: Bachelors degree in public administration or related field from an accredited college; five years of experience in related field; proficiency in computer applications and in written and oral communication. Preferred qualifications: Masters degree in related field, proven ability to complete research projects under demanding deadlines and to function as a nonpartisan professional, prior experience with legislative processes. Maximum salary 52k. Salary commensurate with experience.

Staff Attorney

Minimum qualifications: Hawaii State license; five years of experience in related field, of which two years of experience in the practice of law; proficiency in computer applications and in written and oral communication. Preferred qualifications: proven ability to complete research projects under demanding deadlines and to function as a nonpartisan professional; prior experience with legislative processes. Salary commensurate with experience.

All positions are exempt from civil service. Skill and/or writing test may be administered. For analyst and attorney positions, written work samples are required at the time of interviews.
