CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU
This vacancy is exempt (non-civil service) and based in the
Honolulu City Council. Examples of duties are: input information into the City’s financial system for generating payments to vendors; maintain fiscal records; assist with the preparation of financial status reports; perform research; make and/or verify arithmetical computations; work harmoniously with others. The hire shall be assigned other non-accounting tasks to assist with the administrative support of the City Council that includes the staffing of a reception room.
Qualifications are: 1) a minimum of four years of general office work experience of which three years shall have been in account recordkeeping, 2) graduation from an accredited college or university with a major in business or public administration with the City’s preference of accounting or finance, 3) experience with a computerized accounting system, 4) knowledge of general office practices and procedures, 5) grammar, spelling and word usage skills and 6) a valid Hawaii State driver’s license.
Salary amounts are subject to furlough/ paycut.
