FULL-TIME EXEMPT POSITIONS
Public Health Preparedness Program Manager
Responsible for directing and coordinating planning, training, infrastructure support and improvement, and program development activities within State Health Department to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies. Collaborates with public and private agencies to ensure program integration and leveraging of resources.
Recommended Qualifications:
Sound understanding of public health principles and practice
Experience in public health (NRF, NIMS, HSEEP, and risk and hazard analysis)
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Education:
Baccalaureate degree; Master’s in public health, public administration, or business administration preferred
Five (5) years of progressive experience in public health planning and analysis
Salary Range:
Beginning at $80,000, contingent on years of appropriate experience, and funding
Public Health Emergency Preparedness Information Specialist
Plans and prepares materials for crisis and emergency risk communication and public information dissemination for public health emergencies. Planning and coordination of preparedness activities such as meetings, drills, trainings, phone rosters, emergency call centers, press events, news media coordination, educational campaign schedules, public outreach and web materials.
Recommended Qualifications:
Strong writing, verbal, and organizational skills
Experience handling multiple priorities successfully
Computer proficiency required
Education:
Baccalaureate degree
Two (2) – four (4) years of experience in public relations
Salary Range:
$45,000 – $55,000, contingent on years of experience and funding
