SCHOOL ATHLETIC DIRECTOR III / I, KONAWAENA HIGH SCHOOL, POSITION NO. 65300. This position is located in the Hawaii District on the island of Hawaii. TRAINING: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree, preferably in education with course work in sports/athletic administration or physical education. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: for School Athletic Director III classification: Two (2) years experience as an Assistant Athletic Director I PLUS forty (40) or more teams; OR two (2) years as a School Athletic Director I PLUS thirty (30) to thirty-nine (39) teams, AND national certification; for School Athletic Director I classification: Five (5) years experience as an Assistant Athletic Director, high school head varsity coach, or high school administrator. SALARY RANGE: for School Athletic Director III classification: SR-3, $65,226 to $92,334; for School Athletic Director I classification: SR-1, $60,007 to $84,947. Department of Education certificated employees will be placed on the salary range in accordance with Department regulations. All others will be placed on the first step of the salary range which is $65,226 for School Athletic Director III and $60,007 for School Athletic Director I.
