INVITATION FOR BIDS
Pursuant to Chapter 103D, HRS, SEALED TENDERS will be received up to and opened at 2:00 P.M., Hawaii Standard Time, on Thursday, August 20, 2009 in the Office of the Division of Purchasing, Department of Finance, 4444 Rice Street, Room 303, Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii, 96766, for the Furnishing, Delivery, Assembling and Installation of OFFICE FURNITURE for the County of Kauai, Office of Economic Development.
BIDDERS ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT EVIDENCE OF THE AUTHORITY OF THE PERSON(S) SIGNING THE BID DOCUMENT IS REQUIRED TO BE INCLUDED WITH THE BID DOCUMENTS. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT WILL BE CAUSE FOR REJECTION OF A BID AS BEING NON-RESPONSIVE OR NON-RESPONSIBLE.
The Director of Finance reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, if deemed to be in the best interest of the County.
The successful bidder is required to submit to the County of Kauai, a tax clearance from the State Department of Taxation and the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, a Certificate of Good Standing from the State Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, and a Certificate of Compliance from the State Department of Labor and Industrial Relations as a prerequisite to entering into a contract (HRS 103D-310, 328, and HAR 3-122-112).
This is a County Project funded by County and federal Economic Development Administration (EDA) grant funds. Per EDA requirements, installation labor shall be the higher of State of Hawaii or Davis Bacon wage schedules in effect ten (10) days before bid opening. Small, minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to respond.
