TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2009-6 TO AMEND SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XIV OF SECTION 15-11.3 ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTIONS; SCHEDULE XVII OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(4) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–AM PEAK; SCHEDULE XVIII OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(5) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–PM PEAK; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXIV OF SECTION 15-15.1(d) ESTABLISHING CURB LOADING ZONES; SCHEDULE XXV OF SECTION 15-15.3(d) ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL BUS STOPS; SCHEDULE XXX OF SECTION 15-22.1(a) ESTABLISHING PARKING METER ZONES; SCHEDULE XXXI OF SECTION 15-6.7(b) ESTABLISHING TRANSIT BUS LANES.

Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:

a. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by adding thereto the following items:

“Huhumanu St., for its entire length.”

“Koko Kai Pl., for its entire length.”

“Koko Uka Pl., for its entire length.”

b. By amending Schedule XIV of Sec. 15-11.3 establishing stop intersections in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Koko Kai Pl-Kokonani St. Traffic on Koko Kai Pl. shall stop before entering Kokonani St.

Koko Uka Pl-Kokonani St. Traffic on Koko Uka Pl. shall stop before entering Kokonani St.

c. By amending Schedule XVII of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(4) establishing tow zones–AM Peak by deleting therefrom the following item:

“Kawaihae St., Koko Head side, between Kalanianaole Hwy. and May Wy.”

d. By amending Schedule XVIII of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(5) establishing tow zones–PM Peak by adding thereto the following item:

“Kukui St., mauka side, distance 70’ Ewa direction from a point 210’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Queen Emma St.”

e. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Auhuhu St., makai side, distance 385’ Koko Head direction from a point 156’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Amoomoo St.”

“Kawaihae St., Koko Head side, distance 160’ mauka direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Kalanianaole Hwy.”

“Koko Kai Pl., Ewa side, for its entire length and including its turnaround area.”

“Koko Uka Pl., Ewa side for its entire length and including its turnaround area.”

“Kuahelani Ave., eastern (Koolau) side, distance 97’ southerly (Waipahu) direction from the southern curb prolongation of Holaniku St.”

“Kuahelani Ave., eastern (Koolau) side, distance 97’ northerly (Wahiawa) direction from the northern curb prolongation of Holaniku St.”

“Kukui St., makai side, distance 92’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Queen Emma St.”

“Rycroft St., mauka side, distance 35’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Alder St.”

2. By amending thereto the following items:

Ala Ilima St., makai side, distance 40’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Ala Melia Pl.; to read:

“Ala Ilima St., makai side, distance 84’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Ala Melia Pl.”

Kaonohi St., Koko Head side, distance 165’ mauka direction from a point 15’ mauka of makai property line 98-535 Kaonohi St. (Pearl Country Club of Hawaii); to read:

“Kaonohi St., Koko Head side, distance 204’ mauka direction from a point 330’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Puaalii St.”

Keaka Dr., mauka side, distance 46’ kkhd direction from a point 360’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Manuwa St.; to read:

“Keaka Dr., mauka side, distance 133’ Koko Head direction from a point 360’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Manuwa St.”

Kukui St., mauka side, between Koko Head property line of 20 Kukui St. and Ewa side driveway of Longs Drugs during hrs., 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday except Saturdays, Sundays and State holidays; to read:

“Kukui St., mauka side, distance 210’ Ewa direction from a point 190’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Pali Hwy., 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday except Saturdays, Sundays and State holidays.”

Likini St., makai side, distance approximately 60’ Honolulu direction from a point approximately 145’ Honolulu of the Ewa property line of 5070 Likini St.; to read:

“Likini St., makai side, distance approximately 176’ Koko Head direction from a point approximately 215’ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Ala Lilikoi St.”

Machado St., mauka side, distance 93’ Ewa direction from the dead end of Machado St.; to read:

“Machado St., mauka side, distance 185’ Ewa direction from the dead end of Machado St.”

3. By deleting therefrom the following items:

“Ala Ilima St., mauka side, distance 55’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Ala Nanu St.”

“Pohukaina St., mauka side, distance 57’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Coral St.”

f. By amending Schedule XXIV of Sec. 15-15.1(d) establishing curb loading zones in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto subsection (b) freight loading zones the following item:

“Seaside Ave., Koko Head side, distance 44’ mauka direction from a point 78’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Kuhio Ave., 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays and State holidays.”

2. By amending thereto subsection (b) freight loading zones the following item:

Kukui St., mauka side, distance 80’ Ewa direction from a point 190’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Pali Hwy., except during tow-away hours; to read:

“Kukui St., mauka side, distance 80’ Ewa direction from a point 190’ Ewa of the Ewa curb prolongation of Pali Hwy., 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday; 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday including State holidays.”

g. By amending Schedule XXV of Sec. 15-15.3(d) establishing official bus stops by amending thereto the following item:

Peter St., Koko Head side, distance 150’ makai direction from a point 18’ mauka of the mauka property line of 2559 Peter St.; to read:

“Peter St., Koko Head side, distance 100’ makai direction from a point 150’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Bertram St.”

h. By amending Schedule XXX of Sec. 15-22.1(a) establishing parking meter zones in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following item:

“Seaside Ave., both sides, between Kuhio Ave. and Aloha Dr.”

2. By deleting therefrom the following item:

“Seaside Ave., Ewa side, between Kuhio Ave. and Aloha Dr.”

i. By amending Schedule XXXI of Sec. 15-6.7(b) establishing transit bus lanes by amending thereto the following item:

Kawaihae St., even-numbered side, between Hawaii Kai Dr. and Kalanianaole Hwy., AM peak; to read:

“Kawaihae St., even-numbered side, between Hawaii Kai Dr. and May Wy., 6:30 to 8:30 a.m., Monday to Friday except Sundays and State holidays.”

Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
