$3,798.00 (SR-22) per month
The Investigator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the
Office of Youth Services (OYS) investigation program, which
primarily focuses on administrative investigations involving
employees of the Hawaii Youth Correctional Facility ranging from
escapes to use of force, Responsibilities include independently
planning, organizing, directing and coordinating investigative
operations, preparing reports of findings, and collecting physical or
documentary evidence,
Minimum Qualifications are: Graduation from an accredited college
or university with a baccalaureate degree, Excess work experience
as described below or any other progressively responsible
administrative, professional or other analytical work experience
which provided knowledge, skills and abilities comparable to those
acquired in four (4) years of successful study while fulfilling a
prescribed college curriculum leading to a baccalaureate degree
may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year
basis,
Must also possess Specialized Experience: Two and one-half (2 1/2)
years of progressively responsible investigative experience which
demonstrated 1) initiative, ingenuity, resourcefulness, and judgment
required to collect, assemble, and develop facts and other pertinent
data; 2) ability to think logically and objectively, to analyze and
evaluate facts, evidence and related information, and arrive at sound
conclusions; 3) skill in written and oral reports and presentation of
investigative findings in a clear and concise manner; and 4) tact,
discretion, and capacity for obtaining the cooperation and confidence
of others, Also requires a valid State of Hawaii Driver’s License,
