TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2009-4 TO AMEND SCHEDULE IV OF SECTION 15-7.2(a)(2) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–15 MPH; SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XX OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(7) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–24 HOURS; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXIII OF SECTION 15-14.5(b) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED LOADING/UNLOADING; SCHEDULE XXIV OF SECTION 15-15.1(d) ESTABLISHING CURB LOADING ZONES; SCHEDULE XXV OF SECTION 15-15.3(d) ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL BUS STOPS.

Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:

a. By amending Schedule IV of Sec. 15-7.2(a)(2) establishing speed limit–15 mph by adding thereto the following items:

“Alahi St., for its entire length.”

“Aloiloi St., for its entire length.”

“Ehukai St., for its entire length.”

“Hihimanu St., between Kalanianaole Hwy. and Laumilo St.”

“Hilu St., for its entire length.”

“Hinalea St., for its entire length.”

“Kaulu St., for its entire length.”

“Laumilo St., for its entire length.”

“Malolo St., for its entire length.”

“Manana St., for its entire length.”

“Nenue St. (Waimanalo), for its entire length.”

“Puuone St., for its entire length.”

“Wailea St., for its entire length.”

b. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph in the following particulars:

1. By amending thereto the following item:

Hihimanu St., for its entire length; to read:

“Hihimanu St., between Poalima St. and Kalanianaole Hwy.”

2. By deleting therefrom the following items:

“Aloiloi St., for its entire length.”

“Laumilo St., for its entire length.”

c. By amending Schedule XX of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(7) establishing tow zones–24 hours in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following item:

“Seaside Ave., Koko Head side, distance 37’ mauka direction from a point 237’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Kalakaua Ave.”

2. By deleting therefrom the following item:

“Seaside Ave., Koko Head side, distance 105’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Kalakaua Ave.”

d. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto the following items:

“Campbell Ave., makai side, distance 50’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Herbert St.”

“Haumea St., mauka side, distance 139’ Waianae direction from a point 237’ Waianae of the Waianae curb prolongation of Manawai St.:

“Kuakini St., makai side, distance 203’ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Alaneo St.”

2. By amending thereto the following item:

Pueo St., odd-numbered side, between Pahoa Ave. and Hunakai St., 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday except holidays; to read:

“Pueo St., odd-numbered side, between Pahoa Ave. and Hunakai St., 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday, except Sundays and State holidays.

3. By deleting therefrom the following item:

“Seaside Ave., Koko Head side, distance 30’ mauka direction from a point 242’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Kalakaua Ave.”

e. By amending Schedule XXIII of Sec. 15-14.5(b) establishing prohibited parking loading and unloading in the following particulars:

1. By amending thereto the following item:

Seaside Ave., Koko Head side, distance 185’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Kuhio Ave.; to read:

“Seaside Ave., Koko Head side, distance 105’ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of Kuhio Ave.”

2. By deleting therefrom the following item:

“Seaside Ave., Koko Head side, distance 105’ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Kalakaua Ave.”

f. By amending Schedule XXIV of Sec. 15-15.1(d) establishing curb loading zones in the following particulars:

1. By adding thereto subsection (a) passenger loading zone the following items:

“Seaside Ave., Koko Head side, distance 102’ mauka direction from a point 47’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Kalakaua Ave., 24 hours daily for tour bus loading.”

Seaside Ave., Koko Head side, distance 276’ mauka direction from a point 14’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Lauula St., 24 hours daily for tour bus loading.”

2. By adding thereto subsection (b) freight loading zone the following items:

“Seaside Ave., Koko Head side, distance 102’ mauka direction from a point 47’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Kalakaua Ave., 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. daily.”

Seaside Ave., Koko Head side, distance 276’ mauka direction from a point 14’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Lauula St., 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. daily.”

3. By amending thereto subsection (b) freight loading zone the following item:

Koko Head Ave., Ewa side, distance 44’ makai direction from a point 41’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Waialae Ave., 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday; 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturdays and holidays; to read:

“Koko Head Ave., Ewa side, distance 44’ makai direction from a point 56’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Waialae Ave., 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday including holidays.”

4. By deleting therefrom subsection (a) passenger loading the following item:

“Seaside Ave., Koko Head side, distance 80’ makai direction from a point 185’ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Kuhio Ave.”

5. By deleting therefrom subsection (b) freight loading zone the following item:

“Seaside Ave., Koko Head side, distance 37’ mauka direction from a point 4’ mauka of the mauka curb prolongation of Lauula St.”

g. By amending Schedule XXV of Sec. 15-15.3(d) establishing official bus stops by deleting therefrom the following item:

“Campbell Ave., makai side, distance 100’ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Herbert St.”

Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
