Cultural Resources Specialist (#117983)
$3,511 – $5,202 per month
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Cultural Resources Specialist assists in the Hawaii Army National Guard (HIARNG) Cultural Resources Management Program. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a historic research program for all HIARNG training sites and facilities statewide to include documenting, evaluating and the inventory of sensitive cultural and historical sites. The incumbent must be knowledgeable in all applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in educational-related fields (or an equivalence based on High School Diploma and direct work experience to the job function may substitute for each year of college education e.g., 1 year of direct related work experience may substitute for 1 year of college education). Knowledge of military procedures and protocols is highly desirable.
Experience: One year experience in leadership or staff coordination position. Minimum one year experience in environmental program with limited knowledge of environmental laws and regulations. Practical knowledge on the use of management protocols, conservation and natural resources programs, research methods, public outreach and community coordination.
Natural Resources Field Assistant (#117982)
$2,702 – $4,161 per month
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Natural Resources Field Assistant is responsible to assist program specialists in conservation, preservation and native re-vegetation projects, clear and weed sensitive sites, help monitor species and habitat responses to management actions, erosion control and restoration projects. This position includes heavy lifting, 50lbs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma. Knowledge of military procedures and protocols is highly desirable.
Experience: Minimum one year experience in environmental program with limited knowledge of environmental laws and regulations. Practical knowledge of the following management protocols, conservation and natural resources programs, re-vegetation, soil, rare/endangered species, invasive species and land management. Limited knowledge in the preparation of purchase orders and scope of work for project planning.
