The City Council, City and County of Honolulu, is seeking the services of an individual (as an independent contractor) to oversee, manage and be ultimately responsible for the telecasting of the City’s legislative proceedings. The minimum required experience is five (5) years of “live” telecasting and two (2) years of captioning integration into the “live” broadcasts. The City will be selecting this person based upon the submission of his/her proposal and relying on this person for his/her years of experience and knowledge. The services of the Council Telecasting Director are not transferable. The targeted commencement date is July 1, 2009, with an end date of June 30, 2010 (inclusive). There shall be a maximum of three (3) separate extensions spanning three (3) consecutive fiscal years. Each extension period shall be subject to the availability of funds and legislation. A pre-proposal meeting will be held in Conference Room 1 of the City Council at 530 South King Street on Monday, May 4, 2009, 9:00 a.m. (report to the City Council reception room, Room 202). Offerors can ask questions and tour the meeting sites.
